NTI End Of Season Review Meeting 11/15/04

The NTI Baseball Association End of Season Meeting was called to order at 6:50 PM in the Flower Mound Fire Station on Forums Drive by Eric Kleinsorge, President, NTI.

During the meeting, the President addressed the following:

Review of season and statistics from "Official NTI End of Season Survey".

i. 263 parents and 61 coaches surveyed
ii. 10 % response rate goal exceeded by 37.1%.
iii. 47.1% of parents (124) responded and 52.5% (32) coaches responded

Survey question focus:
•  Quality of umpires
•  Communication with league
•  Level of competition
•  Field conditions
•  NTI website

Level of competition
 i. Two teams were moved up to AAA
 ii. All ages were very competitive

Review of complaints filed/Submitted improvements:
 i. Expansion from 7 organizations to a minimum of 8 to increase number of overall teams
 ii. End-of-season tournament
 iii. Trophies awarded to first and second place teams
 iv. No week-night doubleheaders
 v. More time between games for warm-up
 vi. Requirement for players to play at least 2 innings per game

Review of compliments filed/Areas liked most:
 i. Playing other towns
 ii. Higher level of competition
 iii. Excellent communication with league
 iv. Umpires did a good job and were of higher caliber
 v. Website and ease of use

Spring season goals
Expand NTI from 7 to 10 Associations. Founding cities were: Flower Mound, Highland Village , Grapevine, Ponder, Lewisville , Coppell, and Trophy Club.
• Keller and Denton reps were in attendance
• Flower Mound will add 1 additional team, Highland Village 2, Keller 4, and Denton 6
• Have a 16 game season with end of season tournament
• Expand into Northern Division which will allow for a year-end NTI World Series Showcase at either Dr. Pepper or Rough Rider stadium
• Establish a AA tournament after the regular season
• Provide all players with patches, commemorative letter pin, and trophies for 1 st and 2 nd place. World Series trophy is separate.
•  Vote on hat or sleeve patch use
• Order NTI parent/car window NTI decal

Committee formations

• League Expansion

• Trophy/Awards

Open floor
• Coaches may contact each other for spring training scrimmages
• May have NYSEA certification
• 75% roster membership from city/township
• Must register USSSA “AA”
